A lot of times as an artist today you feel like you have to catch trend waves and adopt patterns and styles that may not be as organic to you just to find relevance. In many cases as a young artist you’re always trying to prove to your parents and family that art school wasn’t a waste or your alternative lifestyle that doesn’t see college as a means to an end can still find monetary success. It sucks that unless your making money or can at least sustain your life style that you’re seen as a bum but hey its part of getting by.
